Waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy TOO Early 2027 NFL MOCK DRAFT - 4/ 27/26

After the 2026 draft was finally over, and teams were scrambling for undrafted free agents as I was typing this I couldn't help but thinking about how much I am looking forward to what looks like a loaded 2027 NFL draft class.  To me this is always one of the more bittersweet weeks of the year. I am always both relieved & saddened when day 3 ends.  Relieved because I feel like I can take a deep breath & relax for a week , especially this year with so much going on in the real world. Saddened about some of the picks both made and unmade. Answering excited and/or nervous calls & texts from friends & my little brother about how I feel their team drafted this year. Apprehensive about putting out this early mock when I have only a vague idea about who the players are yet. I'm sure many of you , especially the ones who didn't like their teams draft this year, or who think that their team is likely to be picking high in 2025 are curious about next year. Things have slowed down a bit now so I decided to watch tape yesterday & today, but I am taking a full 2 week long break after I finish this. I have done much more work on these guys compared to last year where I rushed it , and the results took a downturn. So while I watched tape during day 3 of the draft as usual , and then waited to watch more Sunday & Monday before putting this out. Although I still have tons of work to do on this class. With the exception of a whopping 11 players who I jumped the gun on because I expected them to enter the 2026 draft, but who instead opted to stay in school , I have only broken down the film of one game on the overwhelming majority of these guys.  Although ALL 11 of those players I mistakenly thought to be entering the 2026 draft look like day one or draftees already. So while I have watched all of these players actually play more than once  , that is not the same as breaking down the film on them, and I have only currently broken down the film on one game for 99 players. Throw in the guys who are draft eligible sophomores that I don't expect to even contemplate going Pro so early, or that haven't played much yet so they aren't on my radar right now, and you get the picture. Then chime in with the fact we have little idea what teams will need at that time because of injuries, free agency, retirements , the cap, suspensions , and who knows what else could happen ? Plus the transfer portal & NIL money has drastically changed the face of college football. Every year when I post this I look back at last years early mock, and you can see how little we know this far out, because it's a near miracle if someone even gets half of the 1rst rounders right , but this time around I feel pretty confident that if everyone in this first round mock enters the 2027 draft that at least half will be drafted on day one. So many guys disappoint, go back to school, get injuries, get in trouble , and others come out of the woodwork every single year. Yet the 2027 draft has the makings of an elite class with mutual potential premier prospects at the game's most valuable positions. QB , EDGE. WR, OT , AND CB all look like they have at least one blue chip guy , but it wouldn't surprise me if there are 10 blue chip prospects in the 2027 draft. The Jets have 3 first round picks , and 2 of them ( including their own ) look like they have a shot to be in the top 10. So they definitely have the ammo to get the franchise QB their team has needed for about the last 50 years. The draft order is all mine so if you want to be mad about it I am to blame , but that's just how I see it right now. Without further ado here it is.
