Kellen Mond? That's another QB that people have going in Round 1 next year. On different mocks, there now are six QB's that I have seen that could go in Round 1 (Tua, Herbert, Mond, Eason, Fromm, and K.J. Costello).
ReplyDeleteAnd they could all happen , but right now no one know's how this year is going to play out . I have Tua & Herbert going 1 & 2 ahead of Mond in this mock . Eason hasn't played since early 2017 when he got hurt and lost his job to Fromm . From himself has shown me nothing special so far, but he does play in a successful pro style offense , albeit a simple one where he doesn't have a ton of responsibility to make plays . Costello's tape is just plain bad right now, but he is very toolsy & talented ,so who knows . Mond started 8 games as a true freshman in 2017, and every game in 2018 . There was a lot of improvement last season, and his game against Clemson early in the season definitely opened some eyes . He plays in a pro style west coast offense ,and has solid enough tools across the board to get by, but nothing stands out. To be worth this pick he will need more consistent mechanics & improved accuracy this season . Kinda gives me a Dak Prescott vibe ,so there's still more room for improvement . His 2018 was night & day compared to 2017 so he's already showed she can make big jumps from year to year . He has just as much of a chance as Eason,Fromm, and a much better one than Costello in my opinion . He plays in a more complicated offense , and his coach (Jimbo Fisher) has already developed 4 first round QB's in his offense, and 2 of them went number one overall .
