2022 NFL MOCK DRAFT 12/28/21

Its bowl season now , and the NFL playoffs are just 2 weeks away. This means that the draft order is firming up & many draftable players still have a shot to make another impression in a actual game. Whether its for good or ill is yet to be decided. The players who can make the biggest gains and losses right now would be that rare senior that is not only playing in their bowl game, but also paying in the Senior Bowl. So far this looks like a draft deep in edge rushers. Cornerback's and Safeties also have a chance to be a strength on defense. On offense the definite strength is O-lineman , but this classes WR's , and more surprisingly TE's are growing on me. However, while it is a deep draft there are very few sure thing blue chip type players flying off the screen to me right now. Due to the financial losses from Covid I expect another off season with a lot of veteran QB movement , and 3 or more first round QB'S again, WHETHER THEY DESERVE IT OR NOT.  even though the college QB situation has gotten more muddied for me early this year. With big name QB's like Spencer Rattler, Kedon Slovis, and D'eriq King all faltering the first QB off the board is probably still up for grabs in most draft rooms . Personally I am now favoring Matt Corral , and Corral definitely looked better in the heads up match with Malik Willis. Although, there are 2 other QB's that I can see challenging him for that mantle. I was thinking Sam Howell should go back to school so his supporting cast can get better , and he can revive his draft stock, but he is balling anyway.  Plus with this uncertain QB class he still has a shot to be the first QB taken this year, which is unlikely in 2023 going against Bryce Young and others. Don't forget Kenny Pickett either, as he has prototype size, although I question a guy when it takes 5 years of college to put it all together. So a lot of trades will probably happen, but I don't put trades in mocks until the regular season is over. The losers of the Deshaun Watson derby ( out of Philly, Carolina, Miami, and Denver)  might be looking to trade up. I no longer think the top pick is traded to a QB needy team this year , because right now I wouldn't do it for any of college guys.  Also ,if the Pack doesn't bend over for Aaron Rodgers he will be on the market too. Then there is the Seahawks, Falcons, and Vikings. All of them might be moving on from their veteran QB's, but I believe that Cousins is the most likely to stay with his current team. Personally I would give up more for Russell Wilson than any of them, and the Giants & Eagles have the multiple first round picks to get it done. Without further ado here it is. Agreeing or disagreeing is welcome, but please do it intelligently & respectfully or I just won't post it. so here it is. Enjoy.

2022 NFL MOCK DRAFT 11/15/21

Still grinding tape as I become aware if more & more draft eligible players. A lot of the players in this mock are still guys I couldn't help noticing while watching last years tape, or guys I expected to enter last years draft that stayed in school, and some guys who lived up to their billing early on. 2022 NFL MOCK DRAFT - 10/26/21

Grinded out a lot of tape this week on new players to my watch list. , and while it's still really early for me to add any of them to this first round , there are a few that look like potentials. After I watch more games of theirs a couple may show up soon. The picks are all mine, but I still have done limited tape study on a lot of of them, and the key conference title , bowl, and playoff games are still to come.. These are still mostly players I couldn't help noticing while watching last years tape, or guys I expected to enter last years draft that stayed in school, and some guys who lived up to their billing early on. 2021 NFL TEAM RECORD PREDICTIONS

It's about time. Football is officially back,  and all is good for those of us who love the game. It's especially good that we are looking at a probable season of full stadiums, and hopefully a lot less Covid crap. Coming on the heels of the most unusual off season of my lifetime this season should be a breath of fresh air to the world because there was more off season movement at QB than ever before. Throw in a draft full of uncertainty , the lingering affects of COVID, new head coaches & GM'S,  other coaches & GM's on the hot seat, and it looks like a doozy.. There is a 17th game in the mix too. So this is how I see it on the cusp of the regular season. Agreeing or disagreeing is welcome, but please do it respectfully & intelligently or I just won't post it. Enjoy.

2022 MOCK DRAFT - 5/24/21

I am making a even harder prediction to guess the draft order. Don't lose your minds Packers fans, but I am believing Rodgers either retires or gets traded. Any guy so stubborn that he won't talk to his own family unless they agree with him on everything seems too set in his ways to bend to me. So I expect them to take a stumble down the standings with Jordan love at QB, and they will be picking higher than you probably expect. The picks are all mine, but I have done really limited tape study on most of them. They are mostly players I couldn't help noticing while watching last years tape, or guys I expected to enter last years draft that stayed in school. Due to the financial losses from Covid I expect another off season with a lot of veteran QB movement , and a lot of first round QB'S again, WHETHER THEY DESERVE IT OR NOT. So a lot of trades will probably happen, but I don't put trades in mocks until it's draft season again. Without further ado here it is. Agreeing or disagreeing is welcome, but please do it intelligently & respectfully or I just won't post it. so here it is. Enjoy.

Way Too Early 2022 NFL MOCK DRAFT

The 2021 draft is finally over, and teams are scrambling for undrafted free agents as I type this. I'm sure many of you, especially the ones who didn't like their teams draft this year, or who think that their team is likely to be picking high in 2022 are curious about next year. Been grinding tape since Sunday afternoon, and I am taking a week long day break after I finish this and the grades article. I haven't done much work on these guys, except for the few players who I jumped the gun on because I expected them to enter the 2021 draft, but they instead opted to stay in school. While I have watched all of these players actually play many times  , that is not the same as breaking down the film on them, and I have only currently broken down the film on one game for 61 players.  There are also 7 more players that went back to school I have done 3 games or more games on . Throw in the guys who are draft eligible sophomores that I don't expect to even contemplate going Pro so early, or that haven't played much yet and aren't on my radar right now, and you get the picture. Then chime in with the fact we have little idea what teams will need at that time because of injuries, free agency, the cap, and who knows what else could happen ? Every year when I post this I look back at last years early mock, and you can see how little we know this far out, because it's a miracle if someone even gets half of the 1rst rounders right. So many guys disappoint, go back to school, get injuries, get in trouble , and others come out of the woodwork. This year you have to add the Covid problems and opt outs. Last years way too early mock actually went a lot better than I expected it to turn out after Covid, but it was kind of feast or famine. 3 of the guys I projected to go top 13 went undrafted, but I also hit on 14 first rounders which was great, and a lot more than last years 9. The complete totals of the 32 guys I projected to go in the first round in 2021 right after last years draft ended were : 1rst-14, 2nd-7, 3rd- 1, 4th-1, 5th-1, 6th-3, plus 2 went back to school, and the aforementioned 3 who went undrafted. So you can see what a crapshoot it really is at this time. 2021 4TH ROUND MOCK DRAFT - 5/1/21

0 WOW! I hate this draft, but NFL teams have a lot more info than I do. Still waiting to hear why some guys fell, but I have already seen a player drafted ( Nahshon Wright to Dallas at #99) that I haven't watched, and that was in the 3rd round. Maybe he's a hidden gem, but I can't believe they passed on Melifonwu. Can't wait for things to return to normal next year when I will have a better idea of who to watch. Still a lot of talent left on the board, and some of them really blow my mind. The Jags are on the clock again, and will they keep the pick? Feel free to leave a comment. Agreeing or disagreeing is welcome, but please do it intelligently and respectfully. If you can't, or resort to personal attacks, I just won't post it. So here it is. Enjoy.
