2022 NFL MOCK DRAFT 10/6/21

The College Football season is in full swing, and while it's still really early for a legitimate draft projection, but I am making a even harder prediction to guess the draft order. Congratulations Packers fans, because Aaron Rodgers shockingly returned to the team to make another run. The picks are all mine, but I have done really limited tape study on most of them. They are mostly players I couldn't help noticing while watching last years tape, or guys I expected to enter last years draft that stayed in school, and some guys who lived up to their billing early on. Due to the financial losses from Covid I expect another off season with a lot of veteran QB movement , and a lot of first round QB'S again, WHETHER THEY DESERVE IT OR NOT, and the college QB situation has gotten more muddied for me early this year. So a lot of trades will probably happen, but I don't put trades in mocks until it's draft season again, although I think it's 50/50 that the top pick is traded to a QB needy team this year . Without further ado here it is. Agreeing or disagreeing is welcome, but please do it intelligently & respectfully or I just won't post it. so here it is. Enjoy.

  1. As a Packer draft fanatic, I think you're right--the Packers finish 27th. However, with the surprisingly good play of left tackle Yosh Nijman, the team likely will replace Zadarius Smith with someone like Drake Jackson. Smith is due $29 million next year, but has a seriously bad back.

  2. I do agree that a edge rusher is a possibility, but Gary and Preston Smith are both looking good. I also disagree about Yosh Nijman. He has been passable, but is also a free agent after the season. With Biaktiari coming off a major injury, I think depth is also a big need, Plus, a O-Lineman or WR might entice Aaron Rodgers to return, and could even help keep Davante Adams in the fold. Add that Royce Newman hasn't looked good yet, and that Ekwonu can play inside & out , making him a good fit long term.
