2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT -4 ROUND UPDATE!

We are pretty much down to the individual workout and visit portion of the pre-draft process. Because a lot of possible high 1st round picks decided to stay in school, this draft is the weakest at the top in years. However, it ended up deep throughout thanks to a record number of underclassmen . With the new Collective Bargaining Agreement ("CBA") in place, expect to see draft picks being more valuable and teams willing to take more risk high up, because the financial risk isn't anywhere near as big as it used to be.

In this mock draft, next to each player is the NFL player we feel they will most resemble in their prime if they are a hit. The comp is for on the field play only and the higher they are ranked, the more likely we think they will reach that comparison. All the film has been watched, although a triple check will be in order now and again. Additionally, note that players' medical testing results, background checks, attitude with talent evaluators whom meet them in person, avoiding any possible trouble between now and draft day, and how people with character issues come off to teams are all more important than anything that happened at the underwear Olympics or in workouts now. Barring an injury in training, a guy who shows up out of shape sets a bad precedent for his work ethic. A guy who was in shape at the combine, but now is suddenly going down hill is a sign of entitlement. Guys who were always lazy showing up in tip top shape are also a concern; like players who under-perfomed throughout their careers suddenly reaching their potential in a contract year, I just don't trust those guys! These type of things are likely to affect a players' draft stock with us more than anything else now.

* Is for a player with possible injury issues.

# Is for a player with possible character or off the field issues

1.KC-LUKE JOECKEL-OT-TEX A&M-NFL COMP-JOE THOMAS-CLEV- They reversed course and stuck the franchise tag on LT Brandon Albert. However, despite being a good right tackle and having a salary around 5 million, they cut Eric Winston. This pick is a good value and fills that need. The only question is if it's Joeckel or Fisher. We figure the long term level of competition Luke has played against is the tie breaker if you want a left tackle. Fisher has showed more in the pre-draft process and is better run blocker . Unlike Joeckel or Johnson, Fisher didn't play in a spread offense. You can see him coming out a 3 point stance on a regular basis and run blocking on a regular basis.  Since there has been talk of trading Albert we are thinking they want him on the right side. Joeckels the best left tackle in the draft right now so he's the pick. I still think their ideal scenario is trading back and taking whatever left tackle is left of the top 3. They won't get a RG3 type haul for a OT though , and it's unlikely they would even get Jimmy Johnson trade chart value either.  I expect the Chiefs to contend for a playoff spot this season no matter who they take.

2-JAX-2-JAX-SHARIFF FLOYD-DT/DE-FLA-NFL COMP-MUHAMMAD WILKERSON-JETS-Their DT play is just bad against the run or pass. Floyd improves both ,he is from Florida, and his motor could be infectious. They have Mincey and Babin on the outside now, and I doubt they have given up on Andre Branch(last years second round pick) already,so that should improve their outside pass rush . Now that he has been medically cleared Star Lotulelei could go here instead. They could also go for the elephant LB position bringing  Dion Jordan into the mix.

***TRADE-dolphins trade 1st round(#12), 2nd round(#42), 3rd round(#77)and 7th round(#217) picks this year for RAIDERS 1st rounder (#3)***

3.MIA(oak)-ERIC FISHER-OT-C.MICH-NFL COMP-JOE STALEY-SF-The dolphins have a ton of cap room and they are spending it, but not on Jake Long. He has been injured for 2 years and not the same dominant force because of it. Long signed with the Rams leaving the dolphins with a big hole at LT. Last years second round pick Johnathan Martin didn't even play that well on the right side, and even though he profiles better on the left side we wouldn't want to trust our new franchise QB with the guy we saw on film last season.  Fisher would be better at both positions in my opinion. Miami has a lot of picks and even after the trade they still have a pick in every round. Their GM needs to win now so early on he needs to pick players that can help the team this year.

4.PHIL-STAR LOTULELEI-DT-UTAH-NFL COMP-HALOTI NGATA-BALT-PHIL-Isacc Sopoaga didn't play well at nose tackle in San Francisco last year, and we don't see why he would play better with a lesser squad. He looked like his old self at his pro day,and the new report from his Utah doctor claims his heart problems were due to dehydration and a virus.  He can not only play the nose but can also play the end in a 3-4 or either DT when they are in nickle. He gives them options to take the best players available at either position later in the draft. I am sure Chip Kelly vividly remembers Star wreaking havoc in the pac-12 against everyone he watched film of to scout for his squad.

5.DET-LANE JOHNSON-OT-OKLA-NFL COMP-NATE SOLDER-NE-RT-Gosder Cherilus signed with the colts and RG Stephen Peterman was cut, so the entire right side of the Lions O-line will be new this season.  They haven;t signed anyone realistic to replace either. Picking Johnson also allows them flexibility to put last years # 1 Reilly Reiff on the right side. Personally I wouldn't take Jhonson this high no matter how much potential he has, but we are pretty sure he's going in the top 10. Jordan or Milliner would be better choices.

6.CLEV-*DeMARCUS MILLINER-CB-ALA-CHARLES TILLMAN-CHI-Sheldon Brown is 34 and hasn't been resigned.  We do believe Mike Lombardi wants a big corner to pair with Joe Haden . It needs to be a physical attacking press corner in new Defensive Coordinator  Ray Horton's defense. Milliner also tackles well, which is a prerequisite in the black &  blue AFC north .

7.AZ-DION JORDAN-DE/OLB-ORE-NFL COMP-JEVON JEARSE-RET-GB- All three of Arizona's rush linebackers were below average last year. The best rusher of the 3 was Quentin Groves and he signed with Cleveland. With Carson Palmer being   a good fit for their offense QB is no longer a pressing need. With the top 3 OT's and corner off the board it's either edge rusher or guard in my opinion. Generally pass rusher is a more valuable position. Jordan is the most gifted edge rusher in this class right now. With his frame ,versatility, and athleticism he could get bigger and be an elite player for a long time.He played all year (and did the combine) with a torn labrum at a high level . He had surgery as soon as the combine was over and doctors have assured teams he should be healthy for the season .

8.BUFF-GENO SMITH-QB-W.VA-NFL COMP-WARREN MOON-HOF RET- Tavaris Jackson and Kevin Kolb don't seem like anything more than stopgaps to me, and they are not heavily invested in either. GM Buddy Nix has already stated they are going  to take a QB and will trade up if they have to, so it wouldn't surprise me if they got tricked into trading a up and making this pick . If they are smart and just sit tight he probably falls to them now that Arizona is out of the running.  Smith has a strong arm ,good accuracy when he's set, is clean off the field , is a great athlete,  and doesn't throw interceptions. Needs work on mechanics ,handling the blitz, pocket awareness, and being a more vocal leader right now. Also needs to add weight and learn a pro system, but he has the football IQ to do it. They already cut Ryan Fitzpatrick, and I can't think they go into the season with Tavaris Jackson or Kevin Kolb  as the franchise QB.

9.JETS-EZEKIAL ANSAH-DE-BYU-NFL COMP-JASON PIERRE-PAUL-NYG- Calvin Pace and Aaron Maybin are gone.  Ansah is a freak athlete that someone might take even higher, and he has every skill a 3-4 rush backer could wish for. Watch for a possible trade back to replace their 4th round pick and gather more ammo to fill their depleted roster.

10-TENN-CHANCE WARMACK-G-ALA-NFL COMP-JAHRI EVANS-NO-None of the 3 guards who started for them played well last year, even future HOFer Steve Hutchinson. With this draft having so few players who are elite at their position, a guard in the top 10 won't shock us at all, and even 2 is an outside possibility  Trading down or going after a CB or edge rusher are also viable options but the best player in the draft at # 10 is a bargain, and since their head coach is a HOF guard he should realize it. The Titans already signed the best guard in free agency( Andy Levitre) but he is a better fit on the left side, and that rules out Johnathan Cooper . Warmack is a mauler that can move the pile on any side , in any scheme, on any team.

11.SD- DJ FLUKER-OT-ALA-NFL COMP-ANDRE WHITWORTH-CINC-Another BAD O-line . 2 years ago the left side of their line was elite with Dielman and McNeil. 2 injury retirements later and Phillip Rivers is a wreck. . Might be a reach ,but this isn't a strong draft, and Fluker has done everything right in the pre-draft process. Other than quarterback offensive tackle is the position that gets pushed up the most based on need. He is down 30 pounds from his playing weight at right tackle last year . If Andre Whitworth & Cordy Glenn can make the transition to the blindside so can DJ. He has longer arms than either of them and the chargers have to be desperate for a left tackle now.

***TRADE-49ers Trade 1rst round(#31),and 2nd round (#34) for RAIDERS 1rst

round(#12)***

12.SF-(tb)KENNY VACCARO-S-TEX-NFL COMP-KERRY RHODES-AZ-Not a lot of needs with the 49ers, but this fills one. The way Flacco lit them up in the super bowl ,this is necessary. Vaccaro is a much better in coverage than the departing Dashon Goldson, and safety is their biggest need.  They have way too many picks in this draft ,with an already extremely talented roster, and need to spend them.   It's possible if one of the top 3 DT's falls that they could go in that direction, but this makes more sense.

*** TRADE JETS Trade Darrel Revis to the BUCCANEERS for 1rst Round pick (#13) and a 3rd Round pick in 2014***

13.JETS-(tb)-JOHNATHAN COOPER-G-N.CAR-NFL COMP-ANDY LEVITRE-TENN-RG Brandon Moore is still a free agent and not likely to be brought back due to the Jets cap woes. LG Matt Slauson signed with the bears. Cooper will be 10 year starter at LG and a upgrade over Slauson. The Jets have so many needs and wisely had no interest in paying Revis( QB money!) what he wants. Tampa Bay is a playoff contender with a healthy Revis but if they pay him what he wants they are fools. Making him the highest paid CB at around 11 million a year is fine , but any more than that and the Bucs are going to skew their entire teams salary structure.

14.CAR-SHELDON RICHARDSON-DT-MOU-NFL COMP-CULLEN JENKINS-PHIL- Carolina's defense up the gut was bad last year in every way. Richardson is flying up draft boards and will improve the run & pass defense, in addition to providing flexibility all along the D-line.Sheldon Richardson is the drafts best interior pass rusher right now , and the athleticism he shows making plays sliding along the line of scrimmage and penetrating would help a lot too.

15.NO-BARKEVIOUS MINGO-DE/OLB-LSU-NFL COMP-JASON TAYLOR-(ret)- A lot of new players are needed for their move to a 3-4. Some of those holes have been filled in free agency and they did sign Victor Butler to compete at one OLB spot. Adding to that competition they go with the local LSU alum. This defense was horrible last year and Mingo is a phenomenal athlete who fits much better in the new 3-4 as a rush OLB . Explosiveness and pass rush are his best assets. If he can be trained on more pass rush techniques, add some weight ,and go hard on every play he could be special.

16.RAMS-TAVON AUSTIN-WR-W.VA-NFL COMP-PERCY HARVIN-MINN-The rams have a lot of young WR talent. and claiming Titus Young and his attitude didn't help much so they cut him. However Amendola was the only one with any polish. and he is now a patriot. Austin is lightning in a bottle on the field. Running, catching, and returning are all in the toolbox.  Also he has been healthy year after year, unlike Amendola.

17.PITT-*JARVIS JONES-OLB/DE-GA-NFL COMP-CLAY MATHEWS-GB- James Harrison is 34 , has a big salary,  has been injured a lot recently, and was cut. Lamar Woodley wasn't too hot last year either. Jones plays faster than he times after a 4.9 at his proday. He has never been known as a workout warrior ,or even a guy that practices well.. He is a guy who showed up big on gameday in the SEC for 2 straight years.  The Steelers are known for liking guys who produce, instead of the height weight speed guys. Otherwise they wouldn't have started Harrison and Woodley for the last few years. Jones has reportedly been told the spinal stenosis isn't a large worry and he really should go higher based on production.

***TRADE-FALCONS Trade 1rst (#30) AND 2nd round(#60) AND 7th ROUND(#236) for COWBOYS 1rst round(#18)*** and a 5TH round pick in 2014

18.ATL-(dall)-XAVIER RHODES-CB/S-FLA ST.-NFL COMP-NnAMDI ASOMUGHA-PHI- They need CB help badly.Dunta Robinson was cut and Brent Grimes signed with the Dolphins. Xavier ran well enough at the scouting combine ,although his other drills were a bit sketchy to me, but need will likely push him up draft boards either way . Rhodes has the kind of huge frame and aggression that could have him end up at safety when his speed goes or if he doesn't work out at corner.

19.*NYG-BJOERN WERNER-DE-FLA ST.-NFL COMP-DERRICK MORGAN-TENN.-GM Jerry Reese is known for taking the best player available, or guys with big upside , and in this case it fits a need. The Osi and Tuck era has likely come to an end,and even if they keep Tuck he was not even close to being the guy who dominated 2 superbowls last year. Pass rush was the main reason they won 2 superbowls in 4 years and I am sure they know it. Werner reportedly has an injury that hasn't quite healed yet or he would be higher.

20.CHI-CORDARELLE PATTERSON-WR-TENN-DEZ BRYANT-DALL- What the bears offense now lacks is explosion. Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte are both great players but neither is a great athlete like Paterson. If Marc Trestman can harness this elite talent opposite Marshall,  along with the recent addition of Martellus Bennett ,  Jay Cutler might become an elite QB.

21.CINC-#ALEC OGLETREE-LB-GA-NFL COMP-LAWRENCE TIMMONS-PITTS-Rey Maulaluga was bad in 2011 and much worse last year. It used to be he lacked quickness in coverage but he didn't even play the run well last year . They brought him back , but did it cheaply. Manny Lawson is gone now and Vontaze Burfict is a better fit in the middle . Ogletree could possibly play all 3 LB positions  and the Bengals have a history of taking talented players who fall due to character concerns.

22.RAMS-(wash)-SYLVESTER WILLIAMS-DT-NC-NFL COMP-MARCELL DAREUS-BUFF-The Rams have done a solid job in free agency adding Jake Long and Jared Cook. In order to get good value at a position of need the best pick is clearly Williams. He can be paired inside with last years # 1 Michael Brockers, and really improve their interior pass rush.

23.MINN-*KEENAN ALLEN-WR-CAL-NFL COMP-JORDY NELSON-GB-They need anyone who can take attention away from Adrian. Trading Percy Harvin while they could was wise. With his injury and attitude history they should get what they can now anyway. Harvin made it clear he didn't respect Ponder, but Russel Wilson might be able to get the most out of him.  Allen is the drafts most polished receiver and can be paired with veteran Greg Jennings to provide a formidable starting duo.Allen is also the best blocking WR in this draft. Even though he is not fully healed yet he Allen ran a 4.7 at his pro day. On tape he is faster and I am sure the Vikings know that.

24.INDY-DESMOND TRUFANT-CB-NFL COMP-JASON McCOURTY-TENN-Vontae Davis cost them a 2nd round pick then missed about half the season. Whether they resign him or not  they still need another corner. If a good O-lineman  falls that should come first . Luck got hit consistently all season. They are a candidate to trade up for a lineman , or down to recoup their second round pick.

25.MINN(sea)-MANTI TEO-ILB-N.DAME-NFL COMP-STEPHEN TULLOCH-DET
-A lot of the hoax stuff seems to have blown over now, NFL network draft analyst Mike Mayock has 2 other jobs that help make this pick. He is the Notre Dame football color analyst and the Minnesota Vikings color analyst.  I am sure GM Rick Speilman will pick Mayocks brain and get the good word on making this pick. The vIkings have a gaping hole at middle linebacker that he can fill .  A small town atmosphere like Minnesota that has a supportive loyal fan base would probably help Teo concentrate on football as well.

***TRADE -BILLS Trade 2ND ROUND PICK(#41) AND 3RD ROUND PICK(#71) TO PACKERS FOR 1RST ROUND PICK (#26) AND 6TH ROUND PICK (#159)***

26.GB-*EDDIE LACY-RB-ALA-NFL COMP-MARSHAWN LYNCH-SEA-The packs running game has been atrocious for years. Lacy has the pass protection and receiving chops to fit right in the hybrid west coast/spread offense that the pack runs.  If he was healthy this pick would be a lot more solid, but when he works out he will cinch the # 1 RB spot.

27.HOU-DEANDRE HOPKINS-WR-CLEM-NFL COMP-PIERRE GARCON-WASH-Every year we think they are going to draft a reliable # 2 to go with (and take the coverage away from) Andre Johnson, and it never happens. This is the year, as Johnson is now past his prime as well.

28.DEN-DATONE JONES T-DE/DT-UCLA-NFL COMP-JUSTIN TUCK-The Elvis Dumervil snafu got worse when he signed with Baltimore.  Jones can play either side and even slide inside in passing situations. If Denver signs Dwight Freeney or some other veteran edge rusher thats okay with Jones versatility. He would be an upgrade over Robert Ayers anyway.

***JAGUARS TRADE 2nd Round pick(#33)and 5th Round pick(#135) and 6th Round pick(#169) for PATRIOTS 1rst Round pick(#29) and 7th Round pick(#235)***

29.JAX-(ne)-
*MATT BARKLEY-QB-USC- NFL COMP-ANDY DALTON-CINC-The new Jaguars are going to run a west coast offense ,and Barkley is a perfect fit in one. Barkley will be the odds on favorite for rookie of the year if this goes through.Yes, it's another USC QB, but unlike Sanchez this one is a 4 year starter with a high football IQ. I wouldn't be surprised if Gabbert is cut or traded right after this pick. Coach Gus Bradleys ties back in Seattle could come into play here. Former boss Pete Carroll recruited Barkley to USC ,and was enamored with him enough that we believe he gives Gus the stamp of approval .

30.DALL-(atl))-.DALL-(cinc)JONATHAN CYPRIEN-S-FIU-NFL COMP-RESHAD JONES-MIA-With all their primary choices gone Dallas wisely trades back to help fill their many needs. Gerald Sensabaugh was nothing special at either safety spot and was just cut. Barry Church is coming off major surgery , even though he did play well before being hurt last season. Last years 4th rounder Matt Johnson couldn't stay healthy. Cyprien will probably be the best safety on their roster as soon as he learns the defense.

31.OAK-(sf)-OAK-(sf)-TYLER EIFERT-TE-N.DAME-NFL COMP-TONY GONZALEZ-ATL-The raiders have more needs than any team in the draft and salary cap problems too. The trades back not only give them a lot of picks , it gives them a lot of inexpensive players. With Al Davis not around to muck it up this one draft could go a long way toward returning the franchise to contention. They traded Carson Palmer and acquired Matt Flynn. Since they are in an absolute rebuilding year anyway that means they will pit Flynn vs Terrell Pryor vs a draft pick this year, even though we don't see Pryor as a long term QB .Pryor is a Calvin Johnson type athlete and we expect them to eventually convert him to receiver, as he has never shown even an average football IQ. They have so many needs we figure it's just going to be the best player available this high, and that is Eifert. Brandon Myers was the most reliable receiver on the raider roster but he signed with the Giants. Eifert is not only a better receiver he is also a much better blocker with the potential to be great at it.

***TRADE-JETS-2nd round pick(#39)-6th round pick(#178) and their 3rd round pick next season
to the RAVENS-for their 1rst round pick(#32)***

32.NYJ-(balt)-EJ MANUEL-QB-FLA-ST-NFL COMP-DONOVAN McNABB-(ret)-It's actually more likely they trade into the bottom of the 1rst round for him than wait and hope he falls. The more I think about it the less likely they might go after another USC QB. Manuel  gives the Jets a better passer than Sanchez, the mobility and leadership of Tebow , and he has the arm to cut through the winds in their new stadium
. Even if he doesn't start this season it's OK. With a Kaepernick-like year to sit and learn , he could have a Kaepernick-like impact down the road. He needs mechanical work and time to learn to reach that potential.

2nd Round

33.NE(jax)-
JUSTIN HUNTER-WR-TENN-NFL COMP-SIDNEY RICE-SEA--A outside WR is the patriots chief need, and Brandon Lloyd was just cut. Hunter was considered a possible top 10 pick off the 2011 seasons tape before injuries hit him. He finally looked like the old Justin at the combine ,and he's the big tall deep threat Brady needs on the outside.Danny Amendola has never shown the ability to stay healthy, which makes a need to appease Brady even more likely.

34.OAK-(sf,kc)-MENELIK WATSON-OT-FLA-ST.-NFL COMP-JASON PETERS-PHIL-Last years right tackles Kahlif Barnes and Willie Smith both showed they shouldn't be starters in the NFL. Personally I wouldn't take a guy with this little experience this high no matter how much potential he has, but we wouldn't be surprised if he went in the first round.

35.PHIL-MARGUS HUNT-DE-SMU -NFL COMP-CALAIS CAMPBELL-AZ-His talent and athleticism are undeniable. If he added 20-30 pounds he would still be quick, but 6"8" 277 and running a 4.6 forty is nuts. He has the frame to play end in Chip Kelly's new 3-4 defense, and Kelly craves big players with length. I don't think he's worth more than a mid 3rd round  pick right now. He may never be physical enough to play defense well, but I wouldn't be surprised if he went even higher based on his potential.

36.DET-JOHNTHAN BANKS-CB-MISS ST-NFL COMP-RICHARD SHERMAN-SEA
-They have had crappy CB play for years and only improved one side last year with Chris Houston .  If the coach and GM want to keep their jobs they should get CB help right now.Banks is a long physical press corner that makes plays.

37.CINC-TANK CARRADINE-DE/OLB-FLA.ST.-NFL COMP-SIMEON RICE(ret)-Michael Johnson was franchise tagged but contract talks haven't gone anywhere yet. Carlos Dunlap will be a free agent next season. If Cornelius checks out medically before the draft , at least enough that teams believe he would be the same player he was pre-injury at the start of the season, he will go in the 1rst 2 rounds .So far he hasn't given any indication he will be ready to start the season like he claimed. Until we know more we are guessing he starts the season on the PUP list and only plays half a season at best. Long term this guy is a steal this late ,and we won't be surprised if he is gone way before now.

38.AZ.-KEVIN MINTER-ILB-LSU-NFL COMP-TAKEO SPIKES-SD-DESMOND BISHOP-

Daryl Washington is suspended to start the season , Paris Lennon hasn't been brought back, and incoming Jaspar Brinkley was bad last year. Even when Washington returns Minter should be the starter next to him.

39.BALT(jets)-AURTHUR BROWN-LB-KAN ST-NFL COMP-JON BEASON-CAR-Ray Lewis retiring was expected, but Daniel Ellerbee leaving had to be a surprise for Ozzie Newsome. I am sure Ozzie would love for Te'o or Ogletree to fall this far to replace Ray  . I doubt that happens but this guy may be a better fit than either . He won't provide the distraction of Teo and is clean off the field unlike Ogletree. They just acquired Orlando McClain on the cheap, but a guy who only cost them 700 grand isn't going to keep them from drafting a ILB.

40.TENN-ROBERT WOODS-WR-USC-NFL COMPO-REGGIE WAYNE-INDY-Kenny Britt has a #1 WR's talent, but due to the law and injuries, he hasn't shown he can be counted on long term. All the other receivers they have are complimentary or slot guys.  Woods can be a reliable # 1 for Jake Locker or the next guy.

41.BUFF-BUFF-ZACH ERTZ-TE-STAN -NFL COMP-TODD HEAP-AZ--A good TE is a young QB's best friend.  Last years starter Scott Chandler tore his ACL at the end of the season, and may not even be brought back. Ertz is far and away the best route runner of all the tight ends in this draft .

42.OAK(mia)-RYAN NASSIB-QB-SYR-NFL COMP-STEVE McNAIR (ret)-  Nassib is a gamer and a coaches dream type of guy. The more you know him the better you will like him. I doubt either Matt Flynn or Terrelle Pryor is the long term answer at QB.

43.TB-SAM MONTGOMERY-DE/OLB-LSU-NFL COMP-ANTHONY SPENCER-Michael Bennett signed with Seattle, and Bowers has health and jail concerns. Clayborn is also a injury concern.. It would be wise of the Bucs to make sure they not only have a DE in this draft, but that they get one who can play both sides.

44.CAR-
QUINTON PATTON-LA.TECH-NFL COMP-RODDY WHITE-ATL-Steve Smith is near the end and a small guy to boot. Patton gives Cam Newton a possible #1 receiver who will be where he is supposed to be and catch it when it's thrown near him.  Quinton is also reliable, smart, runs good routes, has good hands, is a solid citizen, and can even block. .

45.SD-JESSIE WILLIAMS-DT-ALA-NFL COMP-VINCE WILFORK-NE-Both Antonio Garay and Aubrayo Franklin are gone now leaving Cam Thomas as the only possible nose tackle on the roster .Williams can play the  nose and the end in a 3-4 giving their defense more flexibility.  This guy is big, strong, and raw .The Australian import hasn't been playing football that long, but he plays the run like a NFL NT right now. He is so athletic that he lines up at FB for Alabama as well. With some refinement on his pass rush moves he can be a 3 down player.

46.RAMS-MATT ELAM-S-FLA-NFL COMP-QUINTIN MIKELL-STL-The rams cut both starting safety's, and while Quintin Mikell could still be theoretically brought back, Craig Dahl signed with the rival 49ers. Elam would be an upgrade over Dahl.

47.DALL-LARRY WARFORD-G-KY-BOBBY WILLIAMS-BAL-(kc)-The right side of the Dallas O-line needs an upgrade. There are no tackles worth this pick left in this scenario, so how about a plug an play guard?  The cowboys missed out on both Warmack and Cooper in the first. Now they finally upgrade the O-line with this prototype mauling right guard.  I am sure Dallas fans are sick of seeing Romo run for his life, this guy could help immediately.

.

48.PITT-JOHN JENKINS-DT-GA-NFL COMP-JAMALL WILLIAMS-(ret)-Casey Hampton is 36 years old and hasn't been resigned. Last  years 4th round pick Alameda Ta'amu is likely facing a suspension for his DUI rampage. The huge Jenkins is surprisingly quick for his girth , although he will need to maintain his current weight loss to reach his potential. This guy is big, strong, and  fits the bill . He has the talent to go a lot higher but his inconsistent effort makes this a legit possibility. With more effort he could be a 3 down NT, and if he stays under 340 he can also play some  end.He has dropped close to 40 pounds since the season ended, but unless he is willing to put a weight clause in his contract this is as high as we would take him.

***TRADE- 49ERS trade 2nd round rd(61), 3rd round(#93) to the GIANTS for their 2nd round pick (#49)

49.SF-(nyg)JHONATHON HANKINS-DT-OH ST.-KEVIN WILLIAMS-MINN-The 49ers need a new nose tackle to replace Isacc Sopoaga and infuse some youth into their D-Line. Justin Smith and Ray Mcdonald can set a great example for this giant, and hopefully inspire him to get in better shape . It wasn't that long ago when Hankins was considered an easy top 15 pick.

50.CHI-SIO MOORE-LB-UCONN-NFL COMP-JEROD MAYO-NE-Urlacher and Briggs are long in the tooth, and Urlacher was just let go for good . If Warford falls this far he is a possibility, but Moore's versatility makes this more likely.  Moore can play whatever LB position they need him at, but is a better fit on the weak side . Although DJ Williams and James Anderson are both in talks with the bears now .

51.WASH-JUSTIN PUGH-G-SYR-NFL COMP-ERIC WINSTON-KC-RT has been a weakness for Washington ever since they traded for Jamall Brown. He immediately showed why the saints were willing to let the former Pro Bowler go ,and has been regularly hurt since then. If Pugh's arms were 34 inches long he would be a first round pick this year . As it is his feet are left tackle ready. In the zone scheme the Redskins run a technician like him is invaluable. Whether he ends up at RT or as a guard is the question, but his arms are too short to man the blindside. The recently cut Eric Winston would be the ideal pickup for them, and they could go a different way here, but the cap penalty the league stuck them with makes that unlikely.

52.MINN-*DJ HAYDEN-CB-HOU-NFL COMP-CHAMP BAILEY-DENV-Had a freak injury at practice where he tore a major vein in his heart last season .Until recently no one was sure if he would ever play again.. I think if he had played all year he would have been a easy 1rst rounder and maybe even the 2nd corner taken. Docs now say he should be ready for training camp.
Despite having a great season last year CB Antoine Winfield was cut . It's probably a combination of him being undersized, 35 years old, having a high salary, and the beating he took in the Green Bay playoff game. Whatever the reason a  infusion of youth is needed in the Vikings secondary.

53.CINC-*GEOVANI BERNARD-RB-N.CAR-NFL COMP-CJ SPILLER-BUFF-Bernard is a play maker that can help open up the offense. The Lawfirm of BJGE is more of a inside grinder, but he's not much of a threat to bust a long one, or help out much in the passing game. Bernard gives them what Green-Ellis doesn't.

54.MIA-(indy)-JAMAR TAYLOR-CB-BOISE ST-NFL COMP-TRAMON WILIAMS-GB-Sean Smith signed with the Chiefs and Bryan McCann signed with Arizona. The fins brought in Brent Grimes but no one knows if he will be the same player coming off injury. Taylor has the confidence of a # 1 corner and he could team with Grimes to form a formidable duo.

55.GB-TRAVIS FREDERICK-C/G-WISC-NFL COMP-JAKE GROVE-(ret)-Jeff Saturday retired and he was not much of a run blocker anymore anyway. Evan Dietrich -Smith was abused by Minnesota in the wild card game, and might be a better fit as a guard , or as a backup to all 3 interior positions. We would prefer Bryan Schwenke but we think the Wisconsin connection means Frederick gets the nod.

56.SEA-KAWANN SHORT-DT-PURDUE-NFL COMP-ANTONIO GARAY-SD-The Seahawks lost Alan Branch to the bills. Short is very talented but he needs to go all out on every play. I wouldn't be surprised if he went much higher. Maybe in a rotation where he is primarily in on passing downs that motor can run consistently hotter, or maybe Pete Carrol can actually help him reach his potential.

57.HOU-TERRON ARMSTEAD-OT-ARK.PB-NFL COMP-TYRON SMITH-DALL-Right tackle is one of the few areas of weakness on this roster. Armstead is the raw elite athlete who took the combine by storm. The fact that he also showed good play on the field on tape, then at the east/west game, and even held his own at the senior bowl makes me believe he could go even higher. He looks and moves like a giant TE. With a year or 2 in an NFL weight room and with NFL coaching he could easily be a Pro Bowler. He is perfect fit in the Houston zone scheme .

58.DENV-BLIDI WREH-WILSON-CB/S-UCONN-  NFL COMP-TERREL THOMAS-NYG- .Champ Bailey is still a good player despite his last game, but he will also be 35 next season. This corner played well in the senior bowl and tested well at the combine. He can also provide value in the return game and who better to learn from than the champ?

59.NE-NE-ROBERT ALFORD-CB-SE.LA-NFL COMP-LADARIUS WEBB-BALT-Another corner to help shore up the secondary and breed competition in the deep end of the defense. Alford is also an excellent return man .  They could move McCourty back outside if they have another safety , but he did play well there. The Patriots go through more high drafted DB's than anyone in the league.

60.DALL(atl)-LE'VEON BELL-RB-MICH ST-NFL COMP-MICHAEL BUSH-CHI- DeMarco Murray's health is always in question . Bell is as durable as they come and has played through injury many times. He did have a big workload last season, but splitting time with Murray should allow his body to recover. For a power back he is surprisingly effective in the passing game.

61.NYG(sf)-GAVIN ESCOBAR-TE-SD ST-NFL COMP-SCOTT CHANDLER-BUFF-The loss of Martellus Bennett and Travis Beckum was only partially addressed by the Brandon Myers signing.  Escobar has been one of the draft biggest risers since the season ended and Escobar gives the giants a lot more size & speed than Myers can.

62.BALT-DAMONTRE MOORE-DE/OLB-TEX A&M-NFL COMP-JOHN ABRAHAM-ATL-GM Ozzie Newsome always finds a way to get value.Courtney Upshaw is a solid guy but will never be a top tier pass rusher. Terrell Suggs is still a good player, but lacks explosion due to age & his repaired Achilles . Moores pre-draft drop will stump the one Suggs had, I am sure Ozzie is hoping Moore has a similar success story. Moore has talent, but looked lazy and out of shape at the combine. Like he hadn't been training for it. Add that he didn't do very well last season when being blocked by top OT's, and the fall was bound to happen. He did 19 reps on the bench at his pro day , but got hurt and didn't run his forty again yet. Even with everything that's gone wrong I think he goes before the end of round 2.
The Elvis Dumervil signing won't stop Ozzie from taking the best player available.

3rd Round

***TRADE 49ers trade 3rd round pick(#74) and 4th round(#128) and 7th round(#222) to CHIEFS for 3rd round(#63)

63.SF(kc)-SF-*BARRET JONES-C/G/T/-ALA-NFL COMP-MAX UNGER-SEA
- Every starter on their dominant offensive line is under 28 except center Johnathan Goodwin (34) . The highly decorated Barrett can also play every other position on the O-line if it's needed. He comes from a winning program to a team that is a Superbowl favorite. Natural fit. The 49ers wisely continue to use their wealth of draft picks to control the draft and get players that can help their already talented roster make a Superbowl run this season.

64.JAX-DAVID AMERSON-S/CB-N.-CAR ST.-ANTONIO CROMARTIE-JETS-The Jaguars let go of long time corner Rashean Mathis recently. New coach Gus Bradley made his bones in Seattle with big ,physical, press corners. The Jags need help at safety and CB. They also prefer big CB's which Amerson certainly is. If you watch his 2011 tape he's a top 10 pick as a corner. After spending this year trying to jump routes to break the interception record I am not sure what he is now. Last season he looked like a safety. This late he's worth the risk ,and might be able to help you at both positions. He lit up the combine so don't be surprised if he goes higher.

65.DET-COREY LEMONIER-DE-OLB-AUB-NFL COMP-ANDRE CARTER-OAK-.Cliff Avril is a now a seahawk and Vandenbosch looks done and was released. Lemonier is the best  healthy edge rusher left right now. With his frame ,versatility, and athleticism he could get bigger and be an elite player for a long time.

66.OAK-#KYLE LONG-G-IOWA-NFL COMP-CLINT BOLING-CINC-This son of raider legend Howie Long is a legacy pick. He's nowhere near  the finished product that Steve Wisniewski was, but he has even better potential long term.

67.PHIL-BRANDON WILLIAMS-DT-MOU-S-ST-NFL COMP-JOSH PRICE-BRENT-DALL-
After his strong senior bowl we went searching for everything we could find on the small school standout, and were impressed by him on film. To run the 3-4 effectively the eagles will need a nose tackle. Isaac Sopoaga was signed to play NT as well, but he played badly last season in San Francisco.

68.CLEV-MIKE GLENNON-QB-NC ST.-NFL COMP-DREW BLEDSOE-RET- Brandon Weeden probably deserves at least another year to see if he can make it as a starting QB, but I'm not sure if he will get one   New GM Mike Lombardi was not a fan of Weeden in last years draft. Since he didn't draft him I doubt he feels much loyalty to him. Glennon is more of Lombardi's type of QB and and in the third round I don't see him being able to resist.

69.AZ-*TRAVIS KELCE-TE-CINC-NFL COMP-JASON WITTEN-DALL- If Kelce was clean off the field , had 2 years of solid production on tape instead of one , and he was healthy he would easily be the first TE off the board. Kelce is an excellent athlete and a strong blocker with a ton of questions that need answering.A good TE is a QB's best friend and I'm sure Carson Palmer would appreciate one who can block as well.   A real receiving threat at TE has been lacking for a long time in AZ. He would draw attention away from Fitzgerald and help stretch the field vertically the way Bruce Arians likes.

70.TENN-*VANCE McDONALD-TE-RICE-NFL COMP-ZACH MILLER-SEA-The loss of Jared Cook was partially blunted by the signing of Delanie Walker, but Walker is nowhere near the receiving threat that the Titans need. McDdonald has displayed all the qualities of a two way tight end , and we think his best football is still ahead of him.

71.BUFF-TERRANCE WILLIAMS-WR-BAY-NFL COMP-STEVE JOHNSON-BUFF-The Bills have been looking for a receiver to pair with Steve Johnson. Candidates to fill the role are lacking with last years 2nd leading wide receiver Donald Jones signing with rival New England. Terrance can play outside and allow Johnson more time in the slot where he excels.Williams  is physical , runs good routes, has reliable hands, can stretch the field, and was massively productive last season

72.JETS-*CHRIS FAULK-OT-LSU-NFL COMP-ANTHONY DAVIS-SF-. Their RT Austin Howard just doesn't have the feet to play on the edge ,but he is a solid run blocker . Moving Howard inside would definitely help him, and with Brandon Moore still a free agent it may be necessary  .Faulk looked like a 1rst rounder pre-injury.

73.TB-.LOGAN RYAN-CB-RUTG-NFL COMP-RONDE BARBER-TB-Even with a trade for Revis the bucs will need another corner with the loss of EJ Biggers. Since Greg Sciano coached Ryan at Rutgers he will definitely appreciate the hard nosed playing style Logan has.

74.KC(sf)(car)-MARKUS WHEATON-WR-ORE.ST-NFL COMP-STEVE SMITH-CAR-A deep threat and slot guy to go with the just resigned Dwayne Bowe . Steve Breaston was cut too, so a WR is must. He can also provide excellence in the return game. Andy Reid will want a WR that can stretch the field. The trade back allows Andy Reid to gather more guys that fit his system.

75.NO-*PHILLIP THOMAS-FRES.ST-NFL COMP-HARRISON SMITH-MINN-The saints forfeit of their second round pick came at a really bad time. Their secondary was atrocious last season. At least they upgraded the corner position with Keenan Lewis .  Rob Ryans complicated scheme especially requires smart safety's that can cover.  Thomas is a ball hawk and if he falls this far it's a steal.

76.SD-DARIUS SLAY-CB-MISS ST-NFL COMP-DOMINIQUE RODGERS-CROMARTIE -DENV-Quentin Jammer is a free agent and Antoine Cason is gone . Jammer has slowed enough where it's safety or nothing in my opinion. So he probably won't be brought back anyway, but if he is he should give the kid tacking lessons.

77.OAK(mia)-ERIC REID-LSU-S-LSU-NFL COMP-KENNY PHILLIPS-PHIL-If you watch him play in 2011 he looks like a 1rst round pick. If you watch him play last season he looks like a 5th round pick. We will split the difference. Reid can team with Tyvon Branch in the back half of the secondary.

78.STL-MONTEE BALL-RB-ORE-NFL COMP-PIERRE THOMAS-NO- Steven Jackson opted out of his deal and his career as a Ram is over. With him joining  Atlanta to play for a contender the rams need a every-down back.  Ball is also excellent in the passing game , both as a blocker and receiver.

79.PITT
-AARON DOBSON-WR-MAR-NFL COMP-MICHAEL CRABTREE-SF-The loss of Mike Wiliams hurt, but if they let Emmanuel Sanders go to New England they will be seriously in need of a wide receiver .Dobson is more of a possession guy who does everything well, and he even blocks.

80.DALL-BRYAN SCHWENKE-C/G-CAL-NFL COMP-WILL MONTGOMERY-WASH-Phil Costa re-singed  but he hasn't shown the ability to stay healthy. Schwenke can also play guard and team with Warford to actually make their interior line strong for years to come. He is a steal this late and if he can clean up his shotgun snaps he should start immediately.

81.NYG- STEDMAN BAILEY-WR-W.VA-NFL COMP-ANTONIO BROWN-PITT-If any restricted free agent is going to be signed away for a 1rst round pick it's Victor Cruz. Even if he stays around this year we doubt they have the money to keep both Nicks and Cruz. With outside WR's being more valuable we think that means Cruz is gone next season.  Bailey always funds a way to get open and could be their future slot WR.

82.MIA(chi)-*MARCUS LATTIMORE-RB-S. CAR-FRED JACKSON-BUFF- Reggie Bush is gone. Daniel Thomas hasn't been healthy and is unproven. Lamar Miller doesn't strike me as an every-down back and is unproven. With extra picks in this draft the dolphins are almost beholden to take at least 1 chance for the future. Lattimore would have easily been the first RB taken if not for a knee injury. Whether he starts the season on the Pup list and comes back mid season, or misses the season entirely I wouldn't bet against him long term. He plays like he loves the game and is a 3 down back.

83.MINN-AKEEM SPENCE-DT-ILL-NFL COMP-KYLE WILLIAMS-BUFF-Perennial pro bowler Kevin Williams is over 30 now and its starting to show. He is still good but might not be worth his high salary for long. While he's not a great pass rusher he is stout against the run and can push the pocket against the pass.

84.CINC-*BRENNAN WILLIAMS-OT-NC-NFL COMP-DONALD PENN-TB-Right tackle Andre Smith may have overestimated his value in the free agency period. He was a underachieving injury prone mess his first 2 seasons, played well in 2011, and had a really good year last season. However he is still unsigned right now even though the Bengals have been steadily resigning their own guys . Williams has a chance to be a starting RT early in his career with a few technique improvements.

85.WASH-DJ SWEARINGER-S-S.CAR-NFL COMP-TJ WARD-CLEV-The top 3 safeties on the Redskin roster were a study in mediocrity at best. Madieu Williams was the best of the bunch and he is an unsigned free agent right now.  DJ is a very smart and aggressive player who can fill the role of intimidator in the secondary.  He is also probably one of the more underrated players in the draft.

86.INDY-JOHNATHAN FRANKLIN-RB-UCLA-NFL COMP-AHMAD BRADSHAW-NYG-Both Donald Brown and Vick Ballard are better fits as a backup. Franklin is used tp being the lead dog, and he also excels in the passing game.

87.SEA- *QUANTERAS SMITH-DE-W KY-NFL COMP-SIMEON RICE-(ret)-Newly signed outside rushers Cliff Avril(2 years) and Michael Bennett (1 year) aren't signed long term. Chris Clemons is 11 years in and coming of a major injury.  Smith has a frame and skill set similar to Dion Jordan . If not for his torn ACL he would be a possible 1rst rounder. He could have a future as a DE or elephant LB in this defense.

88.GB-#KENNY STILLS-WR-OKLA-NFL COMP-JEREMY MACLIN-PHIL- Greg Jennings is now a Viking and James Jones will be a free agent next year. The Pack is 3 or 4 wide on almost every play. I wouldn't be surprised to see them draft 2 wide receivers and a TE in the first 5 rounds.

89.HOU-KEVIN REDDICK-ILB-NC-NFL COMP-DESMOND BISHOP-GB-When Brian Cushing was lost their defense was greatly reduced. They need another guy who can QB the middle of the defense if Cushing isn't ready ,or goes down again. Reddick has the toughness and football IQ to play inside in either front.

90.DENV-JJ WILCOX-S/CB-GA.STH-NFL COMP-DEVIN McCOURTY-NE-Both starting safety's had decent seasons and a really bad playoff game. Mike Adams is especially vulnerable in coverage. Wilcox has safety size and toughness to go along with corner feet. He can play both positions.

91.NE-.DEVIN TAYLOR-DE-S.CAR-NFL COMP-JASON HATCHER-DALL-Belichick loves versatility  Taylor has the kind of frame that can convert to a 3-4 five technique or he can just play 4-3 base end. Taylor has also been overshadowed by Jadavian Clowney in college but has the talent to be a stud in his own right.

92.ATL-DAVID BAKHTIARI-OT-COL-NFL COMP-JORDAN GROSS-CAR- LT Sam Baker was resigned , but he is injury prone and inconsistent .Then they cut a more consistent iron man in RT Tyson Clabo. With a year in a NFL weight room and with good coaching I could see Bakhtiari as the long term answer to protecting Matt Ryans blindside. As is he can be a stopgap at right tackle while he grows stronger.

93.NYG-(sf)--DAVID QUISENBERRY-T/G-SJSU-NFL COMP-HARVEY DAHL-RAMS-With  some NFL coaching and a year in the weight room he could easily be a great lineman at almost every O-line position but center . Both David Diehl and Sean Locklear played badly last season at right tackle.  Or Quisenberry could just be the swing tackle this year.

94.BALT-#TYRANN MATHIEU-CB/S-LSU-NFL COMP-DANIEL MANNING-HOU-Honeybadger says he does care about football. With his penchant for making plays in big games someones going to take him by by the end of third.

95.HOU-(Compensatory)-*KNILE DAVIS-RB-ARK-NFL COMP-DARREN McFADDEN-OAK-Arian Foster has lot of carries the last 3 seasons and Ben Tate will be a free agent next season. Davis is a 1rst round talent who's injury history and ball security issues knock him down this late.

96.KC-(Compensatory)-*#KIKO ALONSO-LB-ORE-NFL COMP-KARLOS DANSBY-MIA- Their has never been a really good player next to Derick Johnson  on the inside of the chiefs 3-4.  Alonso's character and injury history are the only reason he falls this far, and if he can stay on the field he could slide over when Johnson is past it. He should at least be an upgrade over Jovan Belcher, and comp picks are the best ones to take chances with.

97.TENN-(Compensatory)-BW WEBB-CB.WILL&MARY-NFL COMP-TRAMON WILIAMS-GB-The titans starting corners played well last year but in the slot Ryan Mouton and Coty Sensabaugh didn't get the job done. Webb profiles best as  a slot corner and return man.

4th Round

98.JAX-KHASEEM GREENE-OLB-RUTG-NFL COMP-ThOMAS DAVIS-CAR- The jags didn't have one linebacker play even average against the pass last season . Greene can not only cover but he is a sideline to sideline player from the weakside.

99.KC-*#CHRISTINE MICHAEL-RB-TEX A&M-NFL COMP-RYAN MATHEWS-SD-The chiefs are basically Jamall Charles or bust right now at RB. Michael is a 1rst round talent who's character baggage and injury history knock him way down draft boards. This late he is well worth the risk

100.OAK-CORNELIUS WASHINGTON-LB/DE-GA-NFL COMP-JUSTIN HOUSTON-KC-Washington has all the talent you can want and the raiders need edge rushers. He also has the size and the ability to play both sides. The raiders have to get a better pass rush.

101.PHIL-KENJON BARNER-RB-ORE-NFL COMP-LEON WASHINGTON-SEA- Chip Kelly knows him better than anyone. Barner is a jitterbug back that can help in the run, pass, and special teams part of the game.

102.MINN(det)-BUFF-BRIAN WINTERS-G/T-KENT ST-NFL COMP-LOGAN MANKINS-NE-guard play was the only weakness on the viking line during Adrian's awesome season. Winters is a angry run blocker with a nasty edge to his game that will fit right in.

103.AZ-#JORDAN POYER-CB-ORE ST. -NFL COMP-CORTLAND FINNEGAN-RAMS-Its best player available time for the Cards, Poyer can join Peterson and Cason in the Cardinal secondary and may even beat out Cason for a starting spot.

104.CLEV-#DA'RICK ROGERS-WR-TENN-NFL COMP-BRANDON MARSHALL-CHI- Greg Little has the size speed and strength to be a beast of a receiver, but he doesn't catch the ball real well. Off the field problems in droves have dropped Rogers. The .honeybadger is cleaner. He's also a fierce strong handed receiver and a first round talent, but we wouldn't take him before the 4th round.

105.BUFF-DALLAS THOMAS-G/T-TENN-NFL COMP-TODD HEREMANS-PHIL-The Bills need another guard to replace the departing Andy Levitre.   Thomas can also play tackle. This positional flexibility could be very useful considering the amount of injuries along the O-line.

106.NYJ-*#DION SIMS-TE-MICH ST-NFL COMP-ALGE CRUMPLER-(ret)-#1 TE Dustin Keller signed with division rival Miami. #2 TE Jeff Cumberland is still a free agent. This a huge need and a good value. Sims just needs to keep his nose clean and body out of the training room.

107.TENN-*BRANDON JENKINS-DE/OLB-FLA ST-NFL COMP-ALDON SMITH-SF-If Derrick Morgan can't stay healthy , or Kameron Wembley can't be more consistent they will need a new DE next year. Jenkins was a probable 1rst round pick before his injury and might play like one again.

108.CAR-THAROLD SIMON-CB-LSU-NFL COMP-SEAN SMITH-MIA-  After last years injury Chris Gamble was cut and retired. The Panthers could use an upgrade at corner anyway and probably at safety as well. Simon is safety size and plays corner.

109.NO-DEVONTE HOLLOMAN-LB-S.CAR-NFL COMP-NICK BARNETT-BUFF-The saints didn't have one single LB play well in coverage last year, nit even Vilma. Holloman has the speed and agility to at least help out in nickle and on special teams as a rookie.

110.SD-SANDERS CUMMINGS-CB-GA-NFL COMP-PATRICK PETERSON-The chargers need to rebuild their entire roster, and they have very few cornerstone players on the roster. Best player available should be their mantra from the 4th round and on. Cummings is similar to Xavier Rhodes in size and talent, but his off the field stuff makes him unlikely to be drafted early.

111.MIA-JORDAN MILLS-OT-LA-TECH-NFL COMP-ANTHONY DAVIS-SF- Who know if Johnathan Martin will be able to make the transition to right tackle. That's the best fit for Mills . If he can improve his technique and consistency he can be a long term starter.

112.TB-DWAYNE GRATZ-CB-UCONN-NFL COMP-NATE CLEMENTS-CINC-Even if they get Revis the bucs will need help at corner . Gratz is a better athlete than football player right now, but the size and potential are there.

113.STL-#BACARRI RAMBO-S-GA-FL COMP-LARON LANDRY-NYJ-The rams still need another safety and Rambo would be a good fit next to Elam.

114.DALL-#ARMONTY BRYANT-DE-EC OKLA-NFL COMP-TAMBA HALI-KC-Just in case Anthony Spencer is just around this year and that Tyrone Crawford is moved inside they will need another base end. This small school talent  has elite potential .

115.PITT-#DUKE WILLIAMS-S-NEV-NFL COMP-MICHEAL HUFF-OAK-Both starting safety's are now over 30 and Polamalu is usually hurt. Williams is an elite talent who needs polish and to keep his nose clean. Pittsburgh might be just the place for him.

116.NYG-ODAY OBOUSHI-T/G-VA-NFL COMP-WILLIE COLON-PITT-Whether he ends up long term at right tackle or left guard the Giants can use an upgrade at both positions.

117.CHI-#HUGH THORNTON-G-ILL-NFL COMP-JUSTIN BLAYLOCK-ATL- This local college left tackle will probably need to be a guard in the pros. He has the maulers mentality , but might need time to pick up the offense.

118.CINC-.SHAMARKO THOMAS-S-SYR-NFL COMP-BOB SANDERS-(ret)- Reggie Nelson finally played like a first round pick last year, but he needs another safety who can make plays next to him.Thomas hits like a truck and is big time athlete , but if he were 4 inches taller he would probably be in contention to be the second safety drafted.

119.WASH-.MARC ANTHONY-CB/S-CAL-NFL COMP-NATHAN VASHER(ret)-The skins need both corners and safety's. Anthony can play both and he is also a guy that can play special teams.

120.MINN-TYLER WILSON-QB-ARK-NFL COMP-TONY ROMO-DALL-This is a make or break year for Christian Ponder. Considering how much money they had to pay Matt Casell to be his backup it's safe to say the front office isn't sold on him.

121.INDY-JAMIE COLLINS-OLB-S.MISS-NFL COMP-BRIAN ORAPKO-WASH-Robert Mathis is over 30 , has a high salary, and wasn't as productive as he was in years past after the move to outside LB. Dwight Freeney is gone and Jerry Hughes has yet to live up to his 1rst round billing.

122.GB-MIKE CATAPANO-DE-PRINC-NFL COMP-OSI UMENYIORA-NYG- Last years # 1 pick Nick Perry didn't help much opposite Clay Mathews last season . I am sure he gets another chance but Catapano is insurance just in case. He is a raw talent from a small school, but every time we watch him on tape he is causing a ruckus.

123.SEA-ZAVIAR GOODEN-OLB.-MOU-NFL COMP-WESLEY WOODYARD-DEN-Leroy Hill's recent arrest probably makes any decision about bringing him back easy. This former safety has the coverage chops and smarts needed for Pete Carrols defense.

124.HOU-MICHAEL BUCHANAN-DE-ILL-NFL COMP-MANNY LAWSON-CINC-The loss of Connor Barwin makes this pick likely if the Texans want to keep up the pass rush that makes this defense work. Buchanan can at least help in nickle as a rookie.

125.DENV-STEPHON TAYLOR-RB-STAN-NFL COMP-DOUG MARTIN-TB-Willis McGahee is in his 30's and Ronnie Hillman is more of a change of pace back. Taylor is used to being a workhorse back, but he will need to work on his hands and pass pro in this offense.

126.TB(ne)-JORDAN REED-TE-FLA-NFL COMP-AARON HERNANDEZ-NE-Dallas Clark is well past his prime ,and without that consistent mid-field target that Kellen Winslow had once been, Josh Freeman backslid last season.  Reed is more of a move tight end than an inline guy, but he will need to block better in this offense.

127.ATL-SEAN PORTER-LB-TEX A&M-NFL COMP-LEROY HILL-SEA-The falcons need another LB that can cover and still hold up against the run. Sean Weatherspoon is far and away the best they have and he didn't have his best season last year either.

128.KC(sf)-ZAC DYSERT-QB-MIA(oh)-NFL COMP-MATT HASSLEBECK-SEA-Andy Reid loves drafting talented QB's and training them up. Dysert could be the heir to Alex Smith or the next in a long line of guys who Reid trades for a big profit.

129.BALT-ALVIN BAILEY-G-ARK-NFL COMP-JUSTIN BLAYLOCK-ATL-Marshal Yanda is the only guard on their roster that we know for sure is playing guard next year. With some technique improvements and a little consistency Bailey is a long term starter at guard.

130.BALT-(Compensatory)-CHRIS HARPER-WR-KAN.ST-NFL COMP-ANQUAN BOLDIN-BALT- The loss of the kind of toughness Anquan Boldin brings is hard to replace. Harper is a similar player and might help take the edge off his loss.

131.SF-(Compensatory)-MARQUISE GOODWIN-WR-TEX-NFL COMP-DESEAN JACKSON-PHIL- The 49ers drafted speedster AJ Jenkins in the 1rst round last season, and he gave them squat. Goodwin is a Olympian who is a lot faster and will only cost them a 4th rounder.

132.DET-(Compensatory)--BENNIE LOGAN-DT-LSU-NFL COMP-JURELL CASEY-TENN-Sammie Lee Hill was a valuable part of Detroit's tackle rotation and signed with Tennessee. Bennie can hope that some of the pass rush ability of Suh and Fairley rubs off on him.

133.ATL-(Compensatory)-JOHN SIMON-DE/OLB-OH ST-NFL COMP-DARYL TAPP-PHIL

- Recently cut John Abraham is 34 on the weak side and Kroy Bierman is nothing special on the strong-side . Osi Umenyora has been signed but he really should only be a situational pass rusher these days, and he doesn't  play the run well. There are rumors Abraham might be brought back at a lower price, but they still would need help outside because neither of them can play the strong-side .
